Life Groups start week commencing Monday 4th May

The Life Groups are:

The Air We Breathe

Is Christianity history? Or is Christian history the deepest explanation of the modern world? What if the Christian message is not the enemy of our modern Western values, but the very thing that makes sense of them? And how should this shape the way we share our faith with others?

Drawing on Glen Scrivener’s book ‘The Air We Breathe’, this group will take us on a journey to discover how the teachings of Jesus not only turned the ancient world upside down, but continue to underpin the way we think of life, worth and meaning today.

Our Stories

In this life group we will be sharing our stories with each other and considering how we can tell our stories to others. Come along ready to hear other people’s stories of their journeys of faith and share your story. As part of this life group we will support each other to form a shortened version of our stories to enable us to share with others in our daily lives and connect God’s story with theirs.

How to Read the Bible

The Bible is amazing, inspiring, but also really big, written thousands of years ago around 3000 miles away from us in Leicestershire today, and sometimes quite confusing. Using Bible Project resources we will explore the different types of literature in the Bible and what this means for us as we read, meditate on the Bible and get to know God more through his Word.

Identity in Christ: Freedom in Darkness

In Christ we are new creations with a transformed identity and freedom in Him. In this life group we will explore who we are in Jesus, growing in truth and spiritual freedom through biblical teaching and discussion. We will draw from the book “Victory over the darkness” by Neil T Anderson.

YOUNG PEOPLE: Powered Up - Living like Jesus through the Holy Spirit

God didn’t leave us to figure life out alone—He gave us the Holy Spirit to help us live like Jesus every day. God uses ordinary people who struggle to learn, and grow and He gives us His Spirit to help us do the same. With a focus on not so “popular” or “well known” Characters in the Bible from Gideon to Hagar, young Samuel and the servant girl who helped Naaman.
