Anne grew up in a Catholic family, went to a Catholic school and was taught more about the Catholic faith by nuns growing up. After getting married she would attend church on and off but God and church wasn’t at the centre of her life. In later years her and her husband would enjoy coming to some of the special event services at Life Church. But it wasn’t until about seven or eight years ago that they ultimately found that they wanted to come more and more.

Anne felt so natural coming to such a welcoming place. Suddenly all the preaching started to make sense, it was all so familiar. She also loved the worship time and felt such a sense of safety, calmness and belonging in church. God was drawing her to Himself.

Then on Sunday 3rd March 2018 the Lord called her to more deeply surrender to Him. She responded that Sunday and finally knew that she had faith in God and really wanted to follow Jesus. She went to an Alpha course soon after that helped to solidify her faith in God & help her to read the Bible more for herself. She now loves to spend time with God, praying, doing Christian meditations and meeting with other believers.

Since she has come to know Jesus she has realised that God is all powerful, He is always with us throughout our lives and cares about every part. Through Him we can gain wisdom and strength and rely on Him always. Even when she finds life challenging and testing, she finds that her faith is deepened through the struggle.

A verse that encourages her during hard times is: Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you everywhere you go.”
